Las Vegas

I hate excessive heat. I hate drunks. I don’t care for gambling. You can tell Vegas is for me.

The Do-Over

August 25th, 2009 by Reggie

The Do-Over is the party for urban people 21 and up in LA. It takes place every Sunday in Hollywood (in the Summertime) from 2 PM to 10 PM. The line is ridiculously long. You’ll be out there for an hour at least. Once inside you’re treated to the best DJ’s from around the world. The music is varied but unified. Admission is free. Food and drinks are pricy. I suggest you get in good with the promoter. Skipping the line is like getting head on a private jet. The many times I’ve been there, I’ve always seen celebrities. Last night I left just before Eve and DMX showed up. Terrance Howard the actor was denied admission while the MTV Movie Awards were going on around the corner. Actor Michael Rappaport was seen towering over people in this party, trying to look regular. Spinderella (Salt N Pepa’s DJ) I saw several times. I met Queen Latifah here while she was conversing with Peanut Butter Wolf. Summertime + Dope Sounds + Sangria = fun.

Hollywood Farmer’s Market

August 25th, 2009 by Reggie

Never been a fan of Farmer’s Markets, but I like fresh produce and all things fresh, so I can dig it. It starts here on Hollywood and goes straight to Sunset.

This is where it all ends.

Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles

August 24th, 2009 by Reggie

People always talk about Roscoe’s and all I’m saying is the only thing that matters over there is the food. They do have some interesting patrons too depending on the location. Here’s the exterior, the food, and my two favorite patrons that day. Two black lady bikers wearing purple camo.

Oh yeah the food was amazing. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and servings were huge. Fries sucked. They remind me of Portuguese BBQ fries from Newark.
