Baby Boy

Baby Boy sells records, straight up. He doesn’t need this interview to sell more, and that’s why he’s cool in my book.
What up Baby Boy?
Partying like a rockstar.
Tell me about Bounce music.
Bounce is real popular in New Orleans. It’s that crazy fast go-go type of music. You got to be into it to know what it is, know what I mean?
I heard you won an award last night.
Man, it was official last night. I knew I was going to win it though know what I’m talking about?
You knew you were going to win or you didn’t know?
I knew but I didn’t know. When they call your name, your heart starts beating [faster]
And what did you say when you won?
I had to thank everybody and everything. I really thanked my assistant for ironing the crease in my pants so finely.
How’d you get your nickname the Prince?
I got that from football. Everytime I scored a touchdown, they’d shout “Da Prince!”
Tell me about your song “Let me slide in”
Tell you about my song, “Let me slide in.” You like it?
I haven’t heard it, so that’s why I want you to tell me about it.
Well let’s just say it’s one of those sensual songs.
Ok that’s enough.
Yeah, that’s enough.
Tell me about the West Bank.
The West Bank is the best bank.
Tell me about your Hurricane Katrina experience.
It was crazy. I did a lot of taking.
You did a lot of what?
I did a lot of taking, not stealing, taking. I was in the canoe boat and I had to shoot people’s dogs. The water was so high and there were Rotweillers coming towards my family.
